Can you recall your best friend's address? Is it from memory? Is it on your phone? Do you even have their address or do you just know how to get there?

Many 20-somethings are getting very involved in having intimate events or dinners with friends where they want to bring people together without constant technology. For these sorts of events or let's say parties because they are on the more casual side, it is hard to decide how you should invite those on your guest list.

If event planning makes you do this:

Then you'll want to make the process as simple as possible.

Personally, I am not a big group-texter, I tend to either do group chats on Facebook or just text people individually.

Since all of my friends are used to me contacting them through Facebook I use Facebook events for almost everything I want to share with a large group. Not only does it make it easy to keep track of all the event info, it lets others invite their friends easily and also talk amongst each other about details.

If you're thinking that Facebook events is not enough there are small steps you can take to make it more professional or put together.

1. Choose a great event photo to set the vibe, introduce a theme, or show what the event will be like

2. Include a link to an event site that shows more pictures, videos, etc. of what you want your event to be like.

3. Don't use Facebook Event

If you don't want to use Facebook or you don't have a Facebook (*gasp*) then there are other options.

You can send individual text invites, group text invites, or email invites. If you're looking for a more advanced and formal invitation you can ask your friend's for their addresses and send a paper invitation.

When you get these addresses store them on your computer in a word document or something of the same permanence. This will help you the next time you throw an event or send out letters.

And no, I won't charge you for my opinion. Ever. You're welcome.
